This pre-assembled kit is for KU students enrolled in ART 102/Drawing 2 with instructor Hannah Lindo, which meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-5:20 in Chalmers room 409 The materials in this kit have been carefully selected by the instructor to ensure students have the materials required to begin the semester and complete your first projects successfully, offered at our lowest possible discounted prices, typically 30-40% off list price.
Students are also welcome to visit Wonder Fair in person to buy only a portion of the kit, at their kit-discounted prices (discounts will be taken at register), if they require a smaller number of new items or additional items!
All students purchasing a kit will be given a Class Kit Membership Club card that will provide a 10% discount on all art supplies at Wonder Fair throughout the semester, once our special back-to-school promotion period ends (present your card at checkout to receive the Class Kit Club discount; discounts do not stack).
This Core Kit contains:
- Blue painters tape
- Strathmore 400 drawing pad 18"x24"
- Large waterproof portfolio/carrying case with handles for transporting drawing pads
- General's Charcoal Pencils 2B, 4B, 6B
- Set of 30 assorted vine willow charcoal sticks
- Powdered charcoal 6oz, with 3m NIOSH face mask (for protection when using powdered charcoal)
- Set of 6 Faber Castell 9000 artist quality drawing Pencils in 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B
- 3-hole pencil sharpener, with designated use for graphite, colored pencils, and larger pencils.
- Set of 12 soft pastels in assorted colors
- #11/#1 x-acto knife with safety cap
- Access to classroom supply of workable fixative
- Glue stick
- Wirebound sketchbook 8.5" x 11"
- 1” foam brush
** Please note-- some additional materials needed for this course such as Pansion paper sheets and Colored Pencils are also available at Wonder Fair, but are not included with this initial kit. Students may select their own sets of or individual colored pencils (with the instructor's guidance for color selection) to supplement your existing supply, and delicate sheets of paper will be purchased nearer to the time the assignment begins. Wonder Fair will have a selection of colored pencils ready to add to purchase for students who would like to buy them early with their kit, at the full 30% kit discount. Pick Up/Delivery Options (you will select your preference at checkout):
"Classroom Delivery": Kits can be pre-ordered online, and we will deliver your kit to your classroom at or before the beginning of your second class meeting. Please note--orders must be placed and payment completed at least 5 hours before the delivery window to ensure our staff has time to receive your order, and assemble and deliver your paid kit. Classroom delivery is only available for the first two class sessions each semester. Orders for class delivery that occur after a class' second meeting will be available for pickup in store. You will receive a confirmation email when it is ready for pickup.
"Free Pick Up In Store": Kits can be pre-ordered online, and picked up at Wonder Fair (841 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, KS) during our regular business hours beginning Monday, August 24th. Please choose this shipment method if you have additional art supplies to purchase at Wonder Fair; all art supplies purchased at time of pick-up in store will also be discounted 30% as a special perk for students purchasing a class kit online or in person.
Shop in Person: Prefer to purchase your kit in person, to customize your kit, or do additional shopping? No problem! Wonder Fair is open Monday-Saturday 9:30am-8pm, and Sunday 10am-6pm. Students who purchase a class kit will receive 30% off any additional supplies purchased alongside their kit. All students receive a 20% off Back-to-School discount on all art supplies at Wonder Fair, regardless of kit purchase, through September 12th.
